Cucumbers and Cashmere- New colours in NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils

Cucumbers and cashmere! Sounds fun right? These are two newer shades in the Nyx jumbo eye pencil line. Does it matter that I never got the popular shades Milk or Blackbean?
Anyway I am drawn to colour and these two new additions to my stash are welcomed since I love greens and didn’t have any green base to go with my gorgeous MAC Lucky Green, and well the Cashmere looks like a nice neutral base colour as well as a close to nude shade I was looking for to open up the eyes a bit.
Cucumber is a beautiful bright green with no shimmer, just flat colour. It does look a bit sheer on application when used as a base, I was really looking for that green punch of colour at once. But if you use it for lining the colour shows up more intense.
Cashmere on the other hand is a shimmery nude champagne colour. It is just as creamy and works beautifully as a base just as cucumber.
I do find I get a bit of creasing on using these JEP’s alone for colour so I usually have to just use them as bases instead with a powder eyeshadow on top. Cucumber is my favourite of these two. Stay tuned for a new look using these beautiful new jumbo eye pencils. I’m running away now to find the other new shades, cobalt and peacock!
Happy Cucumbers!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
