Oh So Yummy Peach Parfait and Cherry Tart Revlon Lip Butters

They have been all the rage lately and now they are finally available here in Trinidad for us beauty lovers and Revlon fans. I feel so lucky being maybe one of the first persons here to find them and try them out. I love the packaging where they try to make the colours of the casing somewhat representative of the colour of the lipstick as well as the clear top so you can see the actual colour of the lip product.

But don’t be fooled, what you see as the colour of the lip butter is not what you will get on application. It’s really sheer but glides on so smoothly. The name lip butter so accurately describes how they feel on the lips. The two colours I chose Peach Parfait and Cherry Tart are beautiful colours with just tiny bits of micro-shimmer in them. With the darker colour, Cherry Tart you can build up more of the colour with more swipes if you desire. This colour would be great for the girl who wants to try those red lips but without a full on red colour.

I’ve been wearing Cherry Tart on work while my mom has Peach Parfait for her job. For me I do have to reapply at least 4 times for my work day in between my meals and drinks. So don’t expect the colour to last as long as a lipstick, think of these for longevity of wear in terms of lip glosses. It does give a nice shine on mommy’s lips and mine too! The shimmery particles are obvious so it depends on whether you fancy that or not. I do like that the particles don’t feel gritty on the lips. And now for my niece’s lip swatches with her pouty lips! She loves being my lip model.

I do really adore these two lip butters and now I’m wondering if out of the 20 shades available if there is a hot pink with my name on it or perhaps some more colours without the shimmer. I’m off to find some new ones.
Happy Lip Buttering!

    1. Yeah i get that, my mom's lips are pigmented and the peach parfait just shows up on her lips like a sheer gloss. you couldnt tell the colour really. But she does love the feel on the lips!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
