Nicki Minaj OPI Pink Friday Nails

You know how much I love my polish. OPI is one of those brands that were once very difficult to locate locally here in Trinidad but not anymore, thanks to Farida’s in Westmall. They recently started carrying the OPI line in their store. They also carry the SpaRitual polishes. So being up with the more recent OPI collections, it the Nicki Minaj 6 piece collection, which is based on her personal style. I being a pink girl myself just decided on the Pink Friday colour which is a barbie pink crème colour.
Now because I was thinking about Nicki and her love for bright pinks I thought this colour would be like that too but it’s not. In the bottle, it appears just a tad bit lighter than what two coats of polish would show up to be. I think it’s a bright but wearable pink. I do feel like Barbie now. Where's my Ken?
In the shade
In the sunlight
I feel like I need to go try some crazy nicki minaj type makeup now and maybe a blonde wig! Do you like Barbie pink crème polishes?
Happy Pink Friday!
XOXO
Naomi

Coffee Date Night with Bae

There are some simple pleasures in life that I enjoy. Coffee is one of them and a good lipgloss. Today I can have both of them together while we go for a date with bae! Sacha Cosmetics has blown me away with their new intense lipshine glosses and awesome names. I love when companies try to just be real with their customers even in these small details.

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.
