Happy Friday! Volume#2

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday!

Reflections? How did the week fly by so quickly? I was hoping to prolong being 28 for as long as I can since this Sunday will be my 29th birthday but alas I don’t have the strength to hold back time. Instead I will just enjoy my last few days of being 28 in the true essence of myself, SHOPPING!
Splurges this week? Yes, yes and hopefully as much as I can. I indulged in my first Nars order and got myself two items from their spring collection 2012. I can’t wait to receive the Mexican Rose lip pencil and Gaiety blush. In case you are a Trinidadian lady wondering about purchasing Nars, just order them from Amazon. I am yet to find a store here where you can get Nars. boo hoo.
Weekend plans? More shopping anyone? Yes me please! Well I might as well get some new things and blame it on my birthday celebration. I’m making a stop at my MAC West Mall store, who knows what I may pick up here! And if I’m lucky, a small stop at Maracas beach after I do my next laser hair removal session at Hands On in Maraval. I’m still trying to see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. After reading all three books I just really want to see how the movie plays out to them.
Oh and if you are a trini check out the Chez Nous sale which features locally made products. Hope you guys have a great weekend. I will be eating some cake and ice-cream for you!
Happy Friday!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
