Happy Friday! Volume #4

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday!

So for today’s post I plan to answer some questions posed to me by the beautiful Mia. Go check out her blog! She’s Trinidadian too!

What made you start blogging? Living in Trinidad & Tobago is amazing! But there were very little beauty blogs available to inform me of what items exists, where to get them here or on new collections being released etc. I thought I would share my discoveries with my people but also to share any of my beauty encounters with anyone willing to listen. I also love to travel and shop and would love to share those beauty encounters with you. Check my About Me page too!

What's your favorite color? The colour pink is my all time favourite colour but lately I am drawn to purples, blues and greens. But I’m a serious pink nail polish addict.

If you got a free vacation to any destination of your choice, where would you go? I would love to visit Japan to explore their beauty products and techniques but also they have some outrageous fashion.

In other news, this seems like the month of birthdays for me and of course that chance to shop for birthday presents. My niece has long luscious hair so I thought it was only fitting to explore her creativity with some new hair products. And for my sister, a great lotion or perfume would do any day! Any birthdays this month for you?
Happy Friday!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
