Enjoying a Slice of Sacha Tiramisu

Tiramisu. Yum Yum tiramisu. Besides enjoying a slice of that heaven, this eye shadow quad from Sacha Cosmetics is yummy too!
In case you’re wondering what is tiramisu, it is basically a dessert that looks like a cake. It’s layered with ladyfingers usually dipped in coffee, mascarpone cheese mixture and cocoa powder. The mascarpone cheese mixture may consist of egg yolks, sugar and mascarpone cheese. Yummy!
Sacha has improved the look of their packaging with the black on the outside of their eye-shadow cases.  Even though there is no mirror in this quad, the back of the case is in silver, very reflective and can act like one.
So let’s see how this translates into Sacha naming this eye shadow quad. So there are two cream coloured shadows in this quad which may represent the two main elements of tiramisu, the mascarpone cheese and the ladyfingers. There is one yellow shade representing the egg yolks and then the rich brown colour for the cocoa powder or maybe the coffee. Ok now I get the quad name.
They colours are nicely pigmented, smooth and buttery to apply. This impressed me a lot since I know a lot of other Sacha eye shadow users have complained about the shadows being hard and you have to dig into them to get the colour. This was definitely not my experience here. The only downside I experienced with these shadows was the fallout and I did feel like I had to pack on the yellow shade to get the intense colour that I wanted.
Nevertheless I made them work for me and this is a simple eye look I created. Use the bottom cream colour from the inner corner of eye and tear duct, blending in the middle of the eyelid with the yellow shade and then finally the brown to the outer V blended into the crease. Use the top cream colour which has shimmer but a matte finish as the highlight since the other 3 shades are all very shimmery. Bring some brown and yellow under the lower lash line as well.

Would you like to share some tiramisu and some good coffee with me? Enjoy!
Enjoying Tiramisu!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
