Pantone Colour of the Year 2012: Tangerine Tango

Colour is so important to our lives. It’s even important in the business world since certain colours may be representative of a brand or product. When Pantone released that the colour for this year would be Tangerine Tango I decided to shop for this colour in my closet. I already love the colour orange so this maybe the opportunity to wear it more often.
Clothing: This is where I surprisingly have a lot of this vivacious reddish orange colour. I particularly love the pure colour in dresses. And when I don’t want so much I incorporate it into my outfit with a simple tee.

Nail Polish: I don’t often use orange on the nails but when I do I always get stares, of the good kind. Since this colour is not one that you would probably use often then buy a reasonable brand like Kleancolor in Boogie Nights for only TT$15 at Wonderful World.

Makeup: Right now I have orange eye shadows and one lip gloss but no hot tamale orange lipstick. I have been craving MAC Morange for some time now so maybe this is a great opportunity to make it happen.

A few more things that I am still on the lookout for would be a tangerine tango pair of shoes, handbag (use to have one but it dry rotted from lack of use), and belt for those days when I just want a pop of this gorgeous colour. Give yourself some Tangerine Tango love this year!
Happy Tangerine Tango!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
