Learning Beauty Week 8- Practical Exam Time: Pedicure, Manicure & Makeup

Session 15: So for this session we used it to practice on our weak areas before our 3 hours practical. For me the weak areas are that dreaded liquid eyeliner and the nail art using the fine tip brushes for the strokes. But practice makes perfect right?
Session 16: So guys I am nervous before the exam. I get there on time and almost everyone is already there and has their stations set up. We start off with greeting our client (she is my cousin) and then off to doing the practical. I started with her pedicure, then manicure and left the makeup for last since I am better at makeup.
I have to admit the pedicure was my least favourite and I wasn’t fully settled on what design to do. Even though I wasn’t thoroughly happy with it, it was enough to get a pass.
Now the manicure, this was so much better. Her nails were great to work with and the design turned out pretty well.
Now for my favourite part, the makeup. Honestly we did some practicing the night before so reproducing this look was a breeze. A gave her a green smoky eye look. Since she had big eyes and a nice crease it made my job a whole lot easier.
At the end of three hours I was exhausted but grateful that I finished on time and hopefully passed the practical. Well actually I did!
XOXO
Naomi

Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
