Getting to know Artistry Skincare

So well you know I am always out to some new exhibition on everything girly. Last year I was invited to attend one at the Centre of Excellence to explore the Artistry Brand. Artistry has been the sponsor for the Miss America pageants.
So let’s start off with their skincare products. They have the usual cleanser, toner and moisturizer 3 steps to maintain healthy skin. There is the Essentials line which is for the basic skincare while the Time Defiance line is for its anti-aging benefits. They also have eye creams, lip conditioners, masques and vitamin c serums etc.
What intrigued me the most was their crème luxury which was said to be used by Sandra Bullock. She does look amazing for her age so maybe this item really works. It’s extremely expensive though; think about $3000TT for the big container (but don’t quote me on that)! Yikes!!!
At this event you can have your skin analysed to determine what’s your skin type and what are you problems or damaged areas. You can have a facial done by one of their trained estheticians. I loved the skin analyser machine since when you look into it you appear blue like an avatar. Of coursed all this information is used to suggest the right products for your skin type. I had normal to combination skin but I knew that already.
I got myself the cleanser, toner and moisturizer from the essentials line since that was all I could afford (about $450TT) and I am really trying to stick to the regimen of the 3 step process for healthy skin. Will let you know how that goes.
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
