Ambrosia Cosmetics Pinks & Orange Matte Eye-shadows #374, 424, 475, 774

Moving onto the matte pinks and oranges from my first trip to Ambrosia Cosmetics. Be sure to check out the blues and purples or yellows and greens if these are your colours. Ever since I was a little girl the colour pink was my favorite and this stuck with me until now. Of course I have branched out and from time to time I have different favourite colours. My nieces seem to have picked up on the I-Love-Pink colour phase too!  Now onto my story.
Creative colour #475 is Havana Cream. This is a peachy brown which is a colour almost like my skin tone! The colour is matte but I could detect small shimmer particles in it, just a few though. It blends very smoothly and if you have a skin tone like mine it would work great as a blending out colour.

Creative colour #424 is Serene Sunset. This is a bright orange at least in the pan. It’s a very soft colour once applied, even after trying to pack it on. I actually prefer the soft colour but of course most times you want the colour that appears in the pan to be translated onto the makeup application. There are a few shimmer particles within the matte orange colour.

Creative colour# 774 is Butterfly Wings. This is a bright fuchsia, again mostly in the pan. Not pigmented for me when applied.

Creative colour# 374 is Blushing bride is a soft baby pink. I was disappointed with this one since it looked very pale, closing in on a white than the beautiful pink in the pan.

Beside the fact that I found a blending out colour for my skin tone I wasn’t at all impressed with this bunch. Just to note all the swatches were done without any primer underneath so this is just the pure colour showing through. I’m still on the hunt for some pigmented pinks!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
