Road Trip to the Chic Clique, Ambrosia Cosmetics

Two beautiful coworkers and I were on the hunt for Konad stamping stuff and this led us to the Chic Clique or Ambrosia Cosmetics Store on Munroe Road, Chaguanas. Let me say first up I love doing my nails but love my makeup way more and this was the place to satisfy both needs.
So it’s a spacious place that was clearly under-stocked since they had their annual sale only 2 weeks ago. Yeah I know we should have gotten there sooner right? Certainly to cash in on that 10% discount. But I digress.

So right off the bat I notice the ELF products. ELF has been popping up everywhere but what made here special was that they carried a wider assortment of items not just from the ELF US$1 line. This is the first place locally that I see carrying the black ELF studio brushes (US$3 online). Some of these are way better that the white ELF essentials line.
So makeup lovers the fun continues and gets better. If you’re crazy about eye-shadows then proceed with caution. The following pictures contain graphic content that will make your eyes pop out of your head. You can get anything from their loose eye-shadows, pigments and glitter, single or stackable or in large palettes.
What was impressive to me was their Creative Colour System when you can purchase an empty palette (9 or 15 spaces) and put from blush to eye-shadow, concealer to cream liners in the same palette. It’s a customer made palette folks. Do a happy dance! Maybe my eyes are small but I haven’t been able to see this system anywhere here locally until now.
Ambrosia cosmetics produce some many products that I was so unaware of but a visit to this place certainly straightened me out. Imagine face primer, mascara shield, and brush guards. Great stuff right?

There are way too many things to see and products to check out that I can in no way tell you about everything here. You just need to go down to this place and see for yourself. Hope you enjoy the sites, find new products you may fall in love with and you don’t burn a hole in your wallet. I’m off the find myself a new wallet! Happy Shopping!
XOXO

Coffee Date Night with Bae

There are some simple pleasures in life that I enjoy. Coffee is one of them and a good lipgloss. Today I can have both of them together while we go for a date with bae! Sacha Cosmetics has blown me away with their new intense lipshine glosses and awesome names. I love when companies try to just be real with their customers even in these small details.

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.

Wilton Royal Icing Recipe & Tip 21

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing my replication of the Wilton method to making Royal Icing and some simple decorations you can make with the Wilton tip 21. This is an open star tip and can be paired with a simple leaf tip like a Wilton 352 to make small drop flowers.
