It’s In My Bag Now:Maybelline Falsies Black Drama meets L’Oreal HIP Black Shock Eyeliner

Black will always be in style. On days when I’m super busy these two bad boys along with some face powder are my best friends. They can change my face in less than 5 minutes. Actually they are the key elements to my 5 minute face.
I’m a love-to-put-waterproof-eyeliner-in-my-waterline kinda girl and this is where my L’Oreal HIP color chrome eyeliner in Black Shock comes in. It’s super creamy, goes on smooth, stays put and gives me that intense black look but with a metallic finish. On a hot day it can get a bit too creamy and you have to remember to sharpen it since it’s made like a normal pencil but other than that no complaints here. No raccoon eyes.

Black Shock aka Edward

Mr. Black Shock’s best friend Mr. Black Drama aka Maybelline’s The Falsies is so true to his name. He is waterproof for those rainy days we are having lately. He’s super black, curvy, weights 8.5ml and loves to make a girl bat those long lashes. My only issue with him is that he can be so clingy, never wanting to leave me at the end of the day. I have to bring in my bodyguard, Mr. Makeup Remover before he leaves me alone. But he doesn’t take offence and returns to me everyday just to make me feel beautiful all over again.

Black Drama aka Jacob

These two boys gladly share my love for them. It’s my love triangle. If I were Bella, then Black Shock would be Edward and Black Drama would be Jacob since I love the L’Oreal HIP eyeliner just a little bit more! Either way they both follow me around every day vying for my love and attention.
Do you have any love triangles with your makeup?
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
