Christmas Glitter Red & Green Nail Combo

Christmas is inching closer and so what a festive way to bring the holidays home but to use the traditional colours of red and green on your nails. Adding glitter to that makes for hands and feet that will demand a second look while doing your Christmas shopping!
Love Marilyn is a red and silver glitter polish from the China Glaze Eye Candy collection. The red particles are smaller glitter while the silver specks are hexagonal in shape and bigger glitter pieces than the red ones. Two coats were enough to give a densely packed glitter nail. The polish itself dried very quickly between coats which is great for the busy holiday time. I opted for just the plain polish but you can add a coloured base coat (perhaps gold) underneath this to make the red & sliver glitter particles pop.

L.A. Girl Glitter Addict polish in Purge (gross name right?) is a beautiful green glitter polish. It has fine green glitter with larger hexagonal shaped green glitter suspended in the clear polish. The smaller green particles are about the same size as the red ones in Love Marilyn but the bigger hexagonal green glitter is way bigger (maybe 3 times more)  than the silver particles. I used three coats to get a densely packed glitter nail.

Both polishes I got at Wonderful World. The classic Christmas colours are sure to brighten up your holidays. Enjoy your shopping and flaunt those nails girls!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
