Bling in the New Year with Orly

I love glitter polishes for this holiday season and most nail polish companies seem to bring out the glittery collections this time of year anyway. So after wearing my green glitter toes and getting multiple stares (good ones) at my feet I definitely wanted some more glitter.
Orly’s Bling in the New Year collection (available at Wonderful World for $38TT) assisted me with continuing on with my glitter phase. Since I already tried red and green glitter, I opted for another traditional holiday colour of gold. Orly’s Prism Gloss Gold is a clear polish with mostly gold glitter and some holographic specks. The glitter particles are the smallest I have seen this year. I used three coats to get a nicely coated glitter covering. The holographic specks show up nicely as blue, purple and green in the light.

Here’s hoping you have a wonderful Christmas day, enjoy all the glitter you want and have a really Happy New Year!
XOXO
Naomi

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
