It’s In My Bag Now: ELF Beauty Book Cool Collection

So my bag usually has a ton load of stuff in it and never enough room (remind me to check out the kangaroo keeper) so I never want to add any more bulky items to it but I really needed a small makeup palette. Along came the beauty book. It has 28 eyeshadows and 20 lip colours. The magnetic strip that allows it to close like a book is great, but just for safety when it’s in the bottom of my bag I add a cute hair band to ensure it doesn’t open. These eyeshadows are a mixture of semi-matte, and shimmery colours. To prevent eyeshadow particles from sticking to your lippie colours just add a small piece of tissue to separate the two sections when closed.  The only downside is no browns for neutral looks so I am still on the lookout for a palette for suffice all my needs. In case you’re wondering there is a warm collection beauty book with browns but I wasn’t impressed with the eyeshadow colour variations in this one.
For the lip colours you have some that has the sheer colour payoff of a lipgloss and the dark colours with a bit more pigmentation of a lipstick. I tend to reach for the medium pinks in the book.
Do I like it, love it, leave it or it’s just OK: Verdict- I love it!  Super great for work and play, hardly takes up any space in your handbag. I take it everywhere I go.  Even my coworkers want to get this.
Price & Where to get this??? ELF website for 5US$ or Magical Makeup in Trincity Mall for TT$60. You may want to also check out the ELF cosmetics Trinidad group on FB. Happy Shopping Dolls!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
