MAC Me Over Collection Finally in West Mall, Trinidad

I was anticipating the launch of the MAC Me Over collection for Fall 2011 here in Trinidad in what seems like forever (It was launched in North America since August 25th). But it’s finally here! Of course I had to be there on its first launch day (September 17th) to ensure I got the limited edition items that I wanted.
This collection started off as an online competition where you had to complete the sentence; Mac me over because…… Six super lucky winners were then chosen to be the faces of this collection. Overall this collection contains lipsticks, lip-glasses, lip and eye pencils, eye-shadows and eye-shadow quads, and shade-sticks, brushes, fluid-lines, nail polishes, blushes and cream colour bases. It’s a huge collection right!
The items I purchased were the lustre lipstick called Oh Oh Oh (Love that name!), and fluid-line in Midnight Blues. I also wanted the eye-shadow Moleskin to use as a blending colour but it was already sold out in store. Actually I really wanted everything but maybe next time I will be a lotto winner!
So hurry down dolls and check out the collection for yourself. There is something for everyone. You won’t be disappointed.

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.
